This housing is designed around the OEM 19972008 Corvette LS thermostat and gasket, allowing you to retain factory function with upgraded plumbing capability.
Any fuel injected LS engine relies on coolant temperature data for proper ECU function. Removing the thermostat can negatively impact warm up cycles, drivability, and engine management. Thats why we designed this housing to work with an OEM-style thermostat- just like GM intended.
