The ARB AAM 9.25/ GM 9.50 Air Locker is designed for applications running numerically lower gear ratios and mixed use vehicles that see both street and off-road duty.With the flick of a dash mounted switch, compressed air activates the pneumatically operated locking mechanism inside the differential, instantly locking both axle shafts to the ring gear. When disengaged, the differential operates like a conventional open unit, reducing driveline wear and preserving normal handling characteristics.
