The PHR Gear comes with the 0 position lock which will be the most widely used position.This kit is necessary to be able to adjust the gears and lock them in place.This kit allows adjustment from 0.5degrees to 10 and degrees positive or negative and assures that your gear CANNOT SLIP FROM ITS ADJUSTED Position.

For 99% of users, thewhole degreeincrements do the job, allowing for 1 degree adjustments of the camshaft timing (two degrees of crankshaft rotation).

Thehalf degreeincrement locks allow for even more exact cam adjustment. We have found the need for these for perfect camshaft opening and closing events. This has been an essential need for creating repeatable results for advanced racing teams. These allow for 0.5 degree adjustments of the camshaft timing (one degree of crankshaft rotation).

Most people do not need these increments. If you don't know you need them, then answer is you likely do not need them.

Make Sure You Get What You Need

One kit is enough to have every position position forONEcam gear. Select for what you need.

Below are some possible scenarios to help you understand how these should be ordered.

Scenario 1: Youhave two adjustable camgears and only need the whole increments.

• You will want two whole increment kits.
• Select "Whole Degree Increments" above and add two to the cart.

Scenario 2: You have a VVT-i motor and therefore only one adjustable cam gear. You only want the whole increments.

• You will want only one whole increment kit.

Scenario 3: You have two adjustable cam gears, and want the most precise adjustability. I want both whole and half increments so I can dial in my cam timing with exact precision.
